Sybil Jones
president
Sybil’s career has brought her from rural newspaper “trenches” to the skylines of New York City, to her own agency.
Graduating UNC-Chapel Hill in journalism, she covered obits and city hall meetings as a newspaper reporter in North Carolina, and then tasted corporate life in public relations at Ciba-Geigy Corporation and American Cyanamid.
In the mid eighties, she supervised the start-up of a public relations subsidiary for an advertising agency in New York City, capitalizing on business opportunities with existing advertising clients as well as bringing in new agricultural production and commodity accounts. Drawn to the fast pace of agency life and the diversity of numerous accounts, she left Manhattan after three years and in partnership with a long time associate launched Trent-Jones – a communications company in Princeton, NJ.

Together they built a prosperous communications business servicing clients
such as Schering Plough, American Soybean Association, Pfizer, United
Soybean Board, FMC, National Cattlemen’s Beef Association, Novartis/Syngenta,
Hoffmann-La Roche and BASF.
After 15 years she and her partner closed the doors to Trent-Jones while she opened a new door to By Jones Inc. Her new company brings to bear working knowledge in food, production agriculture and aquaculture. Her experience in promoting people, products, services and image paves the way for future success. |
